MARCH 5, 2007
The Family of Sargeant Jonathan "Jon" Cadavero has issued the following statement:
We are very grateful for all the support we have received from the community. So many of our friends and neighbors have offered their condolences and sympathies. Their caring concern is helping us during this difficult time.
Jon had a deep conviction to serve his country during wartime and proudly enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduating cum laude from Columbia Union College, Takoma Park, Maryland, in 2004. He was assigned to the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, New York, as a medic.
He served his country as he lived his life - with commitment, integrity, and honor. Everyone in the family is proud of his accomplishments and supported his service to the nation as a soldier.
We were blessed to have Jon as part of our lives. Please keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
In liew of flowers, donations are being accepted in memory of Jon to his alma mater, the Waldwick Seventh-day Adventist School at 70 Wyckoff Avenue, Waldwick, NJ 07463.
