Top 5 Values of the Adventist Youth Ministries Department in Greater New York

Top 5 Values of the Adventist Youth Ministries Department in Greater New York Conference:

Truth: We value and seek truth as taught by Scripture, our only creed. Accept the inspired counsel of the Spirit of Prophesy, as the minor light which supports and take us back to the Greater Light (Bible); and Abstain from teaching traditions of men as if they were Biblical truth.

Growth (Spiritual & Numerical): We value a life of Prayer, Bible Study, and Witness, which will keep us connected to Jesus, helping us to become spiritual giants. Our intentional effort to reach our friends, colleagues, community, and family members, blessed by the Holy Spirit, will make us grow numerically.

Discipleship: We value training and inspiration that transforms each youth and young adult in a disciple of Jesus, with the same priorities of Jesus. We believe that disciples working together under the guidance of the Holy Spirit make more disciples.

Leadership: We value the leadership abilities of youth and young adults at different levels of church governance. We believe it is not necessary for us to reach adulthood before we can enter leadership. Just like Jesus, Samuel, Josiah, John the Baptist, Esther, and Timothy, (Scripture); Ellen G. Harmon, John N. Andrews, and Uriah Smith, (Pioneers of our Church), God can us, youth and young adults, to lead His Church in the XXI Century.

Innovation: We value the use of new and creative methods to spread the never changing, everlasting Gospel of Jesus in the XXI century in the capital of the world and its surroundings
