1. Pathfinder & Master Guide Camporee and Olympics (May 1-May 4, 2008 @ Hither Hills State Park, Long Island)

1. Pathfinder & Master Guide Camporee and Olympics (May 1-May 4, 2008 @ Hither Hills State Park, Long Island): The Registration for the Camporee is ongoing; we are expecting about 2,000 Pathfinder, Master Guides, and Support Staff at the Camporee this year. All of the information has already been mailed to each Pathfinder Director at each church. The information is on the website. The Camporee will be a completely natural Camporee; the backdrop will be the Atlantic Ocean. There will be changes to the Day Activities and Olympics. The activities team has decided to make use of the natural resources for our activities during the Camporee. The Official Pins for the Camporee have also been unveiled on the website. 2. Bible Bowl Upstate (this Sabbath, April 19 @ MiddletownSeventh-dayAdventistChurch): The Upstate New York Bible Bowl will take place at the MiddletownSeventh-dayAdventistChurch. It will begin at 4:00 PM sharp. The churches that have registered for Bible Bowl will be able to participate.
All other churches in the area are also invited to attend and enjoy Bible Bowl. This is a good way to get started with the ministry, bring your young people to watch the games, this way they can get excited about Bible Bowl and participate next year. The MiddletownChurch is located on: 70 Highland Ave, Middletown NY 10940-5531.
3. Pathfinder & Adventurer Directors Meeting (this Sunday, April 20 @ the Greater New York Conference Headquarters): This Sunday, at 2:00 PM. We decided to have the meeting in the afternoon to give an opportunity to all club directors to spend some time with their clubs in the morning and be able to attend the meeting in the afternoon. This meeting is very important; we’ll be dealing with the Camporees.
4. Work Day @ CampBerkshire (April 27 @ CampBerkshire): We’ll begin the work day at 9:00 AM and will finish it around 4:00 pm. We are working on a new Strategic and Development Plan for CampBerkshire, the Camp is on its way to unprecedented transformation and beautification. All the support from volunteers will be greatly appreciated. Bring out your youth groups and clubs, as we prepared our camp for better ministry and service.
