New Awards Unveiled by the Adventist Youth Ministries Department in GNYC
3/19/10

During the IV Adventist Youth Evangelism & Leadership Congress, our Department of Adventist Youth Ministries in the Greater New York Conference unveiled four different awards and a medal which will be presented to kids, teens, young adults, and adults in recognition for their commitment to different areas of ministry within their local churches in the Greater New York Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

Prior to the unveiling of these Awards, there was ample discussion in our Conference Adventist Youth Ministries Council which combines the different Advisories (AY Coordinators Advisory, Pathfinder Coordinators Advisory, Instructors Advisory, & Events Team). As we unveiled the awards it was made clear that only God deserves the honor and the glory for the great things He accomplishes through His people. It was also made clear that it is healthy and appropriate to positively recognize the hard work, dedication, and commitment of individuals who allow God to use them to build His Church and to serve others as we await His Second Coming.

These awards are meant to serve as a reminder of the work God has done through our young people. They are also an affirmation to its recipients and a reminder that our church highly values the honest, earnest, solid effort, dedication, and the results produced by young people working in partnership with the Holy Spirit and the adults of the church.

Pins are already available; you may begin to request them immediately. The awards/pins and the medal are highlighted below.

Love & Blessings!!!
